Ok, so I accepted a bid on my house a few months ago and we are almost at contract exchange point now (purchaser had been waiting for loan pack to arrive).
What things do I need to consider relating to the actual move out ?
- cancel broadband/phone (Sky )
- cancel bins (wers waste)
- cancel house insurance (when should this be done?)
- forward mail (can I do this via anPost?)
- changing over electricity - what's involved here?
- changing over water bill (local supply not irish water)
Anything else to consider? approx how much notice do I need to give - one month? Thanks
Consider leaving stamped addressed envelope in your house with your new address- sometimes the post forwarding system isn’t perfect, or stuff arrives when you stop it after a few months. I’d only cut insurance after contracts done and you are completely out- moving time is arguably “high risk”.
