Selling house- Can't get deeds from IBRC

Hi
Paid off my mortgage in 2014 and selling house- originally with Nationwide.
I have a letter from 2014 asking me where to send the Deeds. Unfortunately it slipped my mind.
My solicitor has written to them but to no avail to see if they have the deeds and send to me.
Any suggestions? It's been 6 weeks now.

Seems relevant:

With the conclusion of the Special Liquidation, IBRC will no longer be in a position to execute any further releases or edischarges. Therefore, IBRC gives notice that if any party considers that a deed of release or edischarge is required from IBRC, any request for a release must be made by no later than 10 January 2025, in order to ensure that the request is processed before the conclusion of the liquidation.

After this date, any person seeking such documents will need to apply to Tailte Eireann seeking to have any burden discharged from their property folio.

So I’ve made some progress- I’m the registered owner of the property with folio number and the property is register with Tailte Eireann.
However my solicitor now tells me rhe following …
‘We need the planning documents and architects’ certificates- we can reconstitute them – as in hire an architect to re do. It will probably cost you about 2k max over all to reconstitute’

I probably should have posted this in the legal section of website but anybody with any knowledge of these matters tell me if this is critical?
And have I no choice if IBRC are not communicating with us?
I feel like I’m being screwed really by them
…

Nationwide hasn’t existed since 2011.

IBRC was an entity for winding up Nationwide.

The liquidity of IBRC communicated with you over a decade ago and you ignored them.

Did you expect a dead bank to hold your pieces of paper for free forever?

But they say on their website that they will respond to requests for deeds till 10th Jan. We’ve been asking since early Dec. So they’re not acting as they state they will
And if I can’t get any joy what’s the purpose of having an architect redo drawings? Is it for the vendors bank? It’s my tenant who’s buying. And is the fee appropriate?
 
Ah ok, then do the liquidators have an office you can turn up and ask for the deeds?
 
All you can do is follow up with the liquidators of IBRC. But don't expect this to be quick.

You've waited 11 years before looking for the deeds back, so can't really claim that this is a matter of urgency. All that time IBRC was in liquidation, and the liquidators are now trying to wind up the tail-end of its affairs. This involves returning your deeds to you, so there is a good prospect that you will eventually get them back (unless they have been lost or accidentally destroyed). But at this point IBRC (or the remains of its affairs) are not being conducted for your benefit; the conclusion of the wind-up is to be completed at the lowest possible cost to the taxpayer. This means, I suspect, that a relatively small team of staff have been allocated to dealing with the bits and bobs of unresolved business, one element of which is your title deeds. They'll get around to it, but God knows when.
