Hi,

Quick question. I have bought my house 5yrs ago. I am thinking of selling it now, and going to live in a different country if the sale goes thru.

Do I have to pay a capital gains tax as I am not buying another property in Ireland? If so (sorry for my ignorance), how much is that, and is it my obligation to contact revenue and inform them about this?

Thanks for your help in advance

Found answer in 4 day old thread, sorry for spamming the board. Seems no CGT is payable if I have been living in the property (which I have).

Thanks!
