I have a Dublin city centre apartment which I need to sell and I have absolutely no idea how to go about it, never having sold a property before.

I'd appreciate any advice on choosing an estate agent.
Suggestions for reputable companies.
An idea of what they are likely to charge.
Is haggling an option?
In fact, anything at all that would be useful.

Don't limit yourself to one or two recommendations. Talk to at least 4 or 5 and go for the best offer and/or match for you. You can always haggle when you have an alternative choice - no point haggling with just one.
 
Thanks, Bob. What questions should I be asking them apart from what their fees are? I'm very suspicious of the lot of them. I'm a complete ingenue at this. Are there places which specialise in Dublin city centre apartment sales?

Samphire, I would be concerned with pricing your apt correctly as much as choosing an agent. In this regard I would see www.thepropertypin.com
