I've been running an online business for a while and recently a competitor has shown an interest in buying me out. I am very weary of giving them details of my business as they are direct competitors of mine.
I'm looking for any advise on how to go about selling and how much to look for for the business.
Not wanting to tell them my yearly earnings - would asking for a bounded offer based on my yearly profits - without telling them my profits - be a reasonable thing to do. Eg. Ask for 5x my yearly profits so long as my profits are between €x and €y.
If anyone has some good reading material on this sort of thing I'd very much appreciate some links.
