I plan to sell my rental property and have given my tenant the necessary notice. However, the tenant cannot find alternative accommodation and I am reluctant to enforce the cessation of tenancy. The property is in a RPZ and the current rent is way below market rent. She is currently the sole tenant and the tenancy is registered with the RTB. In order to keep the current tenant, would it be possible to as ask her to get two additional tenants and set up a new tenancy agreement at an increased rent? Would this fall foul of the RPZ provisions?
