Self employed (in theory) + receiving maternity benifit

Hi - I have a question on whether or not I would qualify for a welfare payment or not.

I'm married with 2 children, my wife is receiving maternity benifit of €270 per week + work subsidy of ca. €60 per week & we receive children's allowance.

I am self employed & in a partnership that generates enough money to pay the bills of the business and enough for 1 partner to barely get by with a meagre wage.

I've been keeping myself going using my savings - but there's a limit to that which is fast approaching.

There's not much hope of the business picking up as it's in the construction sector.

Any help / advice on how to best proceed is welcome.
