I work as a freelance writer for several different companies scattered in different countries around the world. I'm now 27, and I've started to consider investing for the future. I don't know much about investing, but from what I gather, a PRSA seems my best option for long-term investing to retirement. Is this correct? And if so, which company has the best product?
I noticed Irish Life's PRSA, for example, only allocates 95% of contributions and they deduct a 1% annual charge. This seems like a poor deal. LABrokers has 100% allocation and 1% charge, which appears fairer, but the annual charge is still a bit high, no?
Thanks to anyone who has any suggestions. I currently have about 8k to start with and I plan to invest regularly going forward.
