I’ve read on this website that the average costs for a self build range from 80 – 120 sq/ft. Does anyone know if these costs apply to a dormer-type house?
Also, when applying for a mortgage for self build, particularly when using non-standard/alternative technology such as natural insulation, timber cladding, etc., does the mortgage company need to approve the building design/specifications?
