Hi,

When sourcing contractors, is it best to supply all the materials or let the contractor order them ? For example I was going to supply steel, concrete etc to the foundation contractor but he says he can purchase steel much cheaper. I am going to check the price of the steel myself to make sure but in general, which is the best approach ?

in general contractors can source material cheaper... buying in bulk etc.... however, sometimes they order too much, which you have to pay for.....
the best thing to do is get the quantities worked out, and get the contractor to order exactly what you want.
