I am about to become a soletrader. I am jointly assesed with my wife. Do the tax credits and more importantly the SRCOP remain the same if you are self assessed.
Yes the will remain the same but you will not be entitled to the employee/PAYE tax credit of €1,490
But of course you can claim more dedcutions to lower your taxable income happy days
Also you will pay Prsi of 3% and possibly 2% levies if you exceed the threshold I think it is about €21K
