A very close relative died recently and I've received notice that I am a beneficiary. I'd be interested to see a copy of the will and wonder how easy or difficult this is to arrange. I assume that probate has been granted and so one option would be to apply to the relevant probate office? Does anyone have experience of doing this? The other option would be to ask other relatives (who are executors) but I'm afraid this would be misinterpreted as dissatisfaction or an intention to challenge the will etc. My motivation is curiosity as I'm puzzled by the bequest I'm set to receive. There is a history of family acrimony over money so I'm reluctant to even broach the subject. Any advice?

Ask the Executors. You are entitled to the portion of the will concerning you and your bequest, but not the whole will.

If the will has gone through Probate, it is a document of public record, so you can get a copy of the whole will from the Probate Office.
