All,

Maybe a silly question but was there a time when you were told not to touch the actual glass part of a halogen bulb when fitting it.

We fitted a security light with sensor last week. There is electricity going to it but no light coming on. Have checked everything so only option is to get replacement bulb, hence the question as I dont want to ruin this one also.

Many thanks:confused:

we had a similar problem and ended up getting a new fitting after several bulb replacements, take the fitting back and ask for a new one, there is more than likely a problem within the sensor part...thats what we were told by the seller..

Correct, when changing a halogen bulb dont touch the glass. There is usually a small bit of sponge life material supplied for the purpose of holding the bulb.
