I bought a car (Opel Corsa 2005) in June of this year for my Parents. I knew the person that I bought it from. He used his car for his business and got the clutch replaced before they bought it. This clutch was replaced in May ( I have a copy invoice from May stating that the one he had replaced was faulty). The clutch went again two weeks ago and we brought the car back to the garage it was bought in and where the inital repairs were carried out. We were charged a reduced rate of €670 for a clutch that was only replaced in May. The garage manager said it's not unusual for a clutch to burn out so soon due to "driver malfunction". My father has been driving all his life and has never had to get a clutch replaced. I would have thought the part itself would still be under warranty? Citizens advice say I should get on to simi, any other suggestions?
