Hi,
I got my 2000 Seat Ibiza serviced about a month ago in a fiat garage. They changed the oil & filters, replaced 3 wiper blades and put in 4 new (platinum) spark plugs. The mileage was about 45K miles at the time and it was running perfectly. I got the bill a few weeks ago and was pretty shocked when it came to €298. I was only expecting a bill of about €150 because of the low mileage and regular service history (before I bought it). This is the first service I have done on it. I know that platinum plugs are more expensive due to the fact that they last longer but I didn't ask for them specifically. When I queried it, the garage said that my model required platinum plugs. I can't help feeling that it shouldn't cost this much when regular plugs would have been fine. Was I ripped off?
