We're on the hunt for a house in either of these areas and while Clonsilla is more attractive as it's less expensive than Carpenterstown we were wondering what primary and secondary schools are like in the area as this will be a big deciding factor.

Any advice is apreciated

st francis xavier is a good primary school - or well was in my time! - 10-15 years ago - its about half way between carpenterstown and clonsilla. castleknock community college as a secondary in carpenterstown has a good name, although i didn't go there so can't give my personal experiences!
