Scholars Guest House - Drogheda

Just wanted to alert you to a gem of a new guest house (soon to be hotel when they get their drinks licence) in Drogheda. Beautifully renovated building, tastefully decorated, close to the town centre and the staff are excellent. My partner and I stayed there for a night last weekend and we are still raving about it. B&B €110 (didn't make it to breakfast so can't comment on that!).

Just for the record I have no connection with the Scholars Guest House.

Where in Drogheda is it located Sarah?

Severe shortage of nice places to stay in the town but the new hotel in Scotch Hall complex is due to open soon too.

It's just up from St Laurence Gate; next to a recycling centre - I don't know Drogheda very well and my partner was driving so I didn't take much notice of the street name.
