Scanned images -one per page

I need to scan a document with multiple pages, when one page is scanned it is saved by the application as a filename I choose, the second page is then saved as a separate file and so on. How do I consolidate the pages/files into one document using Adobe Acrobat reader v 6.0

Sorted my own query, found a submenu in the Canon software package to create multiple PDF pages....sorted

I use PaperPort Pro 9 Office for this kind of work. I know that PaperPort used to be bundled with scanners in the past. I also use a piece of freeware called pdf995 its fine but the pop up ads become a bit irritating if your doing a lot of work.
