Scam targeting job seekers in free ad sites
1. Job Housecleaning/housekeeping advertised usually in free ad site
2. Job seeker replies and send cv details
3. 'Employer' is a couple relocating to Ireland from Outside Ireland usually UK require cleaner for a few hours a week and want cleaner to clean apartment in advance of their arrival offer about €300 p/w
4. Location of job is very convenient to job seeker and too good to be true... (scammer most likely uses a mapping web site and address given by job seeker in c.v.
5. Email correspondence begins.. and then employer says landlord is putting pressure on them for deposit or they will lose the apartment (which of course is very convenient to Job seeker)
6. Employer offers to send a bank draft for job seeker to cover deposit/rent and also 1st weeks wages...and to cover cleaning equipment etc.. and will give uk tel number and speak to jobseeker..and gives landlords telephone number.. can be irish mobile no...
7. Job seeker receives bank draft and lodges it to his her own account and waits for bank to clear.. bank clears bank draft .. money appears in account and jobseeker withdraws money minus their wage..
8. Landlord is unfortunately on holiday in a third country...and arranges with job seeker to wire transfer money to him so that the apartment will rented to the couple relocating from UK..
9.. Bank Draft turns out to be a forgery..bank debit jobseekers account for total amount...

If you are ever asked to wire transfer money, don't because it's probably a scam.
