My OH would like to buy a scaffolding about 6ft in height and around 4 -5 ft square on wheels that could be locked for cutting a 10ft hedge which is quite wide. He would like something safer to stand on rather than a ladder which he said is not safe enough for the job. He is using a strimmer with a long blade for hedge cutting. Any one know where you might get something like this? has any one used this type of scaffold?

Altrex Scaffolding Tower is what you are looking for I think.. 6ft long 2 feet wide roughly (bigger available). My OH bought one recently. He feels though that 6ft high is not really adequate for cutting a 10ft hedge. The tower is aluminium and foldable. He paid €500 for it and includes one platform and 4 wheels. Other lengths and widths can be added to it.

We have no connection with Altrex but here is their website. www.altrex.com

you're not supposed to use strimmers above ground level . they are potentially lethal, especially if they have a blade.
