I got an email a short while ago from Saxo Bank to say that they're introducing a referral programme, where you get £250 for referring a friend, who in turn gets £125, when they open an account with under £60,000, and make three trades. (I think the minimum to open a trading account with them has gone up to £6,500, or about €9,000; I think it was about €6,000 a year or two ago when I opened one).
(Funding between £60,000 and £300,000 gives double the above amounts, and funding above gives four times the above amounts).
What are people's thoughts? Is Saxo still the best option for opening an account with, or is there a better option at present? If, with the recent service charge introduction, they're still the cheapest, then it's a nice bonus for anyone signing up.
