If I decide to bring back to Ireland monies I have had on deposit in the Isle of Man (monies earned and tax paid in the U.K.) what tax would I be liable for here going forward?
Isn't there an agreement with Britain that you are only liable for DIRT in one jurisdiction? I had thought that if the poster had paid 20% DIRT on their savings in the UK, that they wouldn't be liable to another 20% here. Perhaps a call to Revenue would clarify the situation.
