Hi there - just wondering if you guys have any tips on this. Have been reading up quite a bit but head is a bit of a mess
Basically I'm Irish, but living in Switzerland for the next 2 years. I'm looking to setup a savings account. I was going to just set one up in an Irish bank next time I'm home, but didnt realise they were for residents by default only. Just never thought about it!
What I'm looking at now is an International AC with either one of the Irish banks (eg AIB) or a UK one (HSBC / Leeds etc) depending on interest rates. I don't mind having to give some notice to withdraw (probably 90 - 180 days is my max), but want an account that I can continue to increase the balance on, as in keep adding to the savings. Also for ease of life, guessing EURO account for now.
1) Does it sound like the path I'm on is the best one?
2) Has anyone come across cases like this and have any recommendations of Banks / Accounts etc?
Thanks
G
