Saving Photos onto Cd to send to America

Will someone in America be able to open and view photos that I save onto a cd? Is there any difference in format etc.?

Will it matter if the person in America has an Apple Mac (and I don't)?

It is not possible to e-mail these photos.

Have you considered uploading on Facebook or flickr ?

..or an online storage site such as www.humyo.com

Anyway, storing the photos on a CD in a standard format (such as JPEG) should be fine.

Theoretically should be fine, however one of the latest windows security updates on XP has resulted in jpegs created or saved on Macs are not readable in windows (its a documented bug).

Windows to Mac in a recognised format should be fine - but its possible there is some little gotcha like above.
