Hi,
I've noticed this from the upcoming Green Party convention.
Motion 6 from Waterford Greens
Third Level Education
We call on the Minister for Finance to rectify the anomaly which exists in the tax system whereby those who can afford to save for their children’s third level education can avail of tax efficient instruments to do so but those who do not have the means to save are obliged to bear the cost out of after-tax income. This is not cherishing all the children of the nation equally.
Whatever about the motion itself as someone who is putting €100 a month of after-tax income into a Quinn-Life policy for his daughter's third level education is there currently a way of doing this in a tax free manner? I as a PAYE worker would be rather interested in saving for this outlay in a tax efficient manner.
