Saving Android Whatsapp photos to laptop

A friend needs to free up phone space on her phone to use WhatsApp. I've been able to cut and paste her camera photos to her laptop but I wasn't able to move WhatsApp photos. Is there a simple way of doing this? Does anyone have a simple solution? Thanks!

Not sure if I'm stating the obvious, but email them to herself in batches. After each email has successfully arrived with the pics on the laptop, delete the pics on the phone. Apologies in advance if this is too basic.

Ditto. Copy and paste into email. Works on iPhone, presume it's the same as others. You get to choose what resolution to send.

If she has a Gmail account, use the Google photos app, then she can back all phtotis up to the closing automatically. The photos app then has an option to delete all photos already backed up and still in the phone, from the phones memory.

No need to faff about transferring stuff to a laptop (which can still fails and you end up losing everything then anyway )
