Savannah, Georgia - Holiday Tips

Hi,

I am heading to Savannah, Georgia for 8 days at the end of October and was wondering if anyone had been in this area before and had ideas on what to do.

I am going to spend at least 1 day heading to Charlestown in South Carolina as from websites it seems to be a reasonable short car journey, ie <3hrs.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Haven't been but having read "midnight in the garden of good and evil" would love to. If you haven't read it (don't know how the film compares) would recommend it.

If you can get to any of the islands oof the coast of Georgia deffo try and get to Jekyll island. It is fab, a little holiday piece of heaven!
