Is anyone on AAM actually using satellite broadband and if so what do you think of it? I would not be using it for gaming or voip , just browsing.

I know I looked into this for a friend and the prices were mad 1300Euro Installation then 100 Euro per month...only suitable if you were a business possibly....there is talk of new satellite service which allows you donwload at broandband speeds but you up load via dialup connection

I was hoping to find a guinea pig who has tested satellite, but everyone we know can get cable or wireless.

I'm using NovaNetworks down south, billed as satellite but actually microwave.
Works fine, able to download reasonably large files for work and stay synchronised while working at home, would recommend the company and/or technology.
Haven't tried Skype etc. yet
