Currently designig a new build and thinking of putting sash windows in the front. I've heard you can get windows that are PVC on the outside but wood on the inside. Anyone got any ideas where these can de sourced?
There are some previous threads on sash windows but they mainly refer to restoration rather than new windows. If you have a read thru some of them you could try ringing some of the companies mentioned to see if they have any advice.
A deciding factor for you may be that you need to have the inside block on the flat for the timber Up & Down sliding sash windows and you also need deeper cills (i think around 14") and as far as I know standard blockwork for the PVC.
