Just wondering if anyone has any experience of getting timber-frame sash windows fitted in Cork? We are looking for one large sash for our road-facing terraced house. The only one we've seen was by Senator windows and was over €1,000, which is a bit beyond our budget for one window.
The current sash window is not in the worst condition but it's single glazed and lets in a lot of traffic noise. Having done a bit of browsing on this and other sites, I know there are companies in the UK that can restore original sash windows, does anyone know if this service is available anywhere in Cork and if so, is it cheaper than replacing the thing completely?
Any info you could give me would be much appreciated, totally clueless here!
