Hi folks,

Can anyone recommend a budget but clean hotel / campsite in Alghero? Also, we are staying in Sardinia and Corsica for a month (August), so if anyone has any tips/advice/must see's and eats etc. they would be much appreciated. We are looking to stay at quiet out of the way coastal areas.

Hi,
I stayed at the following. It was clean and relatively cheap, in a seaside location within walking distance of the centre.

Hotel El Balear
Lungomare Dante
Alghero.
 
Check out [broken link removed] Villagio dei Pini hotel is about 45 minutes from Alghero and does a good deal for AI including wine & water with meals. Two pools,spa, beach access. Hotel + mini bungalows set in 40 acres of pine forest.

It seems to fit your requirements and certainly suited us.

There is a good key post-Ive read through it but alot of the posts are a few years old and I was looking for more up-to-date info.
