Samsung Tv Problem

I have a 42" Samsung plasma TV for about 5mths now. Over the last few days the picture has become very dark. Ive tried all the setting adjustments, colour, contrast etc but nothing seems to help. Ive tried it with dvds but have the same problem so I assuming its nothing to do with the ntl connection.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas whether its something Im missing or whether it may just be a problem with the TV.

Not sure if its relevant but I do have a habit of always turning it off directly at the socket as opposed to remote...(very fire conscious!!!)

Is there some sort of backlight that may have failed? ask wherever you bought it just in case

Check the backlight setting as mentioned above and maybe check if Game Mode is on/off.
I know there's a few other colour settings in the advanced settings menu that may have changed.
I think there's an option to reset to defaults so give that a go if you've not tried already

The backlight inverter board needs replacement.Warranty should cover it.

Check the picture pref's. I know mine has movies, sport, natural etc..

All look very different. Funnily enough the sport mode make a grass pitch look bright green.
