Samsung TV HDMI mode not working

Hi

My Samsung 32" LCD HD ready tv has stopped working on HDMI. It seems the issue is that it can't handle HDCP on the Sky HD box or on a DVD player. All I get is sound and a blank screen. I have tried a couple of HDMI cables. No luck.

Samsung don't want to know as it is just over 1 year old. Quoting European regulations don't phase them.

Anyone know anyone that could possibly repair the problem?

This sounds more like a software/setting (kids playing with it) problem than hardware, have you checked the large AV forms for advice. There may be firmware update available for the model. Try Googleing the model number.

Done all that. Nothing in the settings has been changed.

No kids here to mess it about. The general consensus was a software issue (firmware) or a dodgy circuit board.

Any firmware update needs a Samsung engineer to install them.
