Samsung Kies

Samsung Kies stopped working on my laptop for no reason. I have tried uninstall and reinstalling it. When you troubleshoot compatibility it says it is not compatible. Microsoft says there is nothing they can do if it is not compatible. Samsung don't want to know and say it is a Microsoft issue. Have seen that lots of people have this problem so I wonder how Samsung phones are still doing so well.
