Just wondering could someone shed some light and give us some advice. The site we are working on is about to be taken over by a new contractor. We have been working on this site for the past 5 years and a cheaper contractor has come in and our current company was not successful in the tender process. Here’s our dilemma.
Our current company do not have work for us on their many other sites throughout Ireland so they say to us that we’d be better off staying with the new contractor on the site. The new contractor coming on site will have work for all of us, as we are all skilled and know the site very well. However, are we entitled to redundancy from our current employer as he doesn’t have work for us?
