Hi
Wondering if you could help me. I've never claimed against my car insurance at all. Got my renewal form in the post with the NCD statement which shows 4 years without a claim. This is the same number of years as the NCD certificate for last year. Hope this isn't a silly question but I just don't understand why it doesn't state 5 years this year? Regards J
 
Maybe 4 years is the maximum NCD that they offer, so thats all they say on the cert
 
Would this not be unusual though? I thought 5 years was very much the norm.
 
My recent NCD cert states 6 years which my old and new insurance co. told me is the max I can have (I have 10+ NCD experience). I questioned it as I thought 7 was the max.
 
Wanted to give you an update on this. I rang my current broker (Glennons). My current insurance is with Axa and they only give a max of 4 years.
 
So if you have been driving 10 years without and accident, and then have an accident how many years will you lose?
