Salesperson looking for new options

I've worked in IT telesales for a large multinational for about 7 years now. I'm due back after maternity leave but don't want to do it full time anymore. I'm not hopeful of them offering me part time. Are there many part time sales jobs out there or is it wishful thinking? If I changed tack altogether, does anyone have any advice about roles that I could use my sales skills? How can I get some help/advice about changing career and starting something new? I feel I've become a bit institutionalised

To be honest, I think we're all having to suck it up and stick it out in our jobs at the moment. If you need to work, and have a job, it's not a time I'd recommend changing.

A lot of sales people I know have lost their jobs recently...and none of them have got jobs in sales again so it doesn't look like there are too many opportunities. The ability to sell is always welcome...maybe check out activelink.ie - a lot of charities look for part-time fundraising staff with a sales background.
