Sale of stake in Ulster Bank - Any Effect for Depositors?

I don't think you need to worry.

The government is unlikely to sell it to someone who can't capitalise it properly.

I suspect that they will try to sell the RoI operation and the Northern operation.

I suspect RBS / UK Government will not find anyone interested in acquiring all of Ulster Bank. Although, RBS will try.

At the very least, it seems that further changes loom at Ulster Bank.
 
Sky News are [broken link removed] that "Ulster Bank, its troubled Irish subsidary, is being examined to see whether its can be carved out of RBS".
