Were it only that simple
The company is being reorganised. My scope of work and thus position are transferring to a new department, this is out of my hands. I'm pleased though, I get to build my own team within this department and am reporting into a someone I respect. Ignore the salary for a moment, it's a great opportunity, and ultimately will make more employable.
I expect my manager will proactively take steps to address the situation however I don't want to leave this to chance. I plan to point out the obvious to them, the question I'm toying with is how far I push it.
