Have done a number of searches but cant see anything in this area....
My sister (she is nineteen) has been employed in a hairdressers for the past 7mths as a trainee. Four weeks ago was told that in two weeks unless she spoke to customers more she would be sacked, but was not told that this was a verbal warning. Improved customer conversations.
Two weeks pasted nothing happened. Saturday she went to work as normal and upon finishing for the day the employer told her she was sacked and was told that the reason was that the job is not for her, job too much pressure for her to handle, and that if she wants she can work till christmas eve. She did not go in today, and he got a member of staff to ring her.
I understand that she doesnt have a case in regard to unfair dissmissals as she was there under twelve mths. But is there anything that she can do?
