New regulations suggest if I work outside the country for more than 1 year I will lose any benefit accruing from my contributions paid to date into state pension scheme. I am a medic working in the UK now. What are the options open to me regarding what i have already paid in over the last 15 years?

What new regulations? Haven't heard of anything like this, it seems very draconian.

apparently this applies now to all public servants
