Is there a garage in Dublin that does saab 9-3 servicing for a good price, apart from the main dealers. My car needs an intermediate service.

Have a 00 Saab 9-3 myself. Firstly, even the main dealer said not to bother much about intermediate service, unless you're doing more than 15K or so a year?

I have the same problem as you re servicing. The main dealers are way too expensive, and I cant trust backdoor garages with the SAAB. Tried an "independent saab specialist" in north city centre recently, wasn't too happy with him either: he failed to spot a few obvious things! and wasn't that cheap either.

So let me know if you find anything.

why do people with saab think there something special to get serviced they are prehistoric technology and parts for them arent that dear.

i didnt mean to sound sarky but ive heard more stories lately of people with volvos and saabs that i know getting completly shafted and they all have very fresh cars and with service bils goin into the 1k bracket and cant see why.im goin into servicing these cars!!!

But isn't it a general trend that people are getting shafted by main dealers for servicing all kind of cars? There has been recent stories on this in a separate thread, and there was mentioned of royal ripoffs on servicing Alfas and Hyundais amongst others.

But in general I think most Saab owners ARE quite meticulous about servicing their cars and that's part of the reason why they last so long. The problem with Saabs (and I suppose Volvo) is the high cost of original parts but if you're clever enough you can get the main dealers to run all the daigs on your car while doing a service and then get the costlier jobs somewhere else. That way you can even buy (often higher quality) alternative parts on the internet and get your local garage to do the job.

Used to have a Saab myself. Average service cost €500 from main dealer. Switched to Lexus 430. Average service cost €300. Happy days!

Funnily enough, in another thread, I asked you to name this wonderful garage that can service any car at a reasonable price. Haven't heard anything from you since.
