Hello all,

As US domiciled ETF's are now no longer available to us Europeans I was wondering if a stock like Berkshire Hattway might be a decent alternative to somrthing like the S&P 500 ETF? It's of course a stock but the advantages is that it has diversification (obviously not as great as the S&P 500)

& has even outperformed it the index over many years

Anyone any thoughts or similar stocks for those that want diversification in US stock market without trying to build up a portfolio bit by bit?

Regards

Hi - mentioned this on another thread somewhere, but just to point out that US domiciled ETFs are available to us in Europe, but you need to go through a US broker. I currently buy Vanguard ETFs through Firstrade.

Seems to me that Firsttrade is only available to a few international countries? How did you open an account?
