Ryanir charging €40 CC fee to put an extra bag onto the booking?

Hi,

I want to put an extra bag onto our booking at a cost of €20 online. Fair enough.

When I went to pay for it with my Visa, I was told there would be a €40 fee for the additional bag booking. This is the first time I have done this so can anyone shed a little light on it?

I have already paid the €40 handling fee for the initial booking for 4 people.

Is it really going to cost me €60 to put on an extra bag at a 'cost' of €20.
 
One bag per pax costs 20 euro return.
Extra bag per person costs 40 return.
-and you still have to be within the weight allowance or else you'll be screwed at airport.

As a general point of interest....
Once you book ryanair and start adding the many different charges,especially baggage, you will find that it is sometimes worth looking at the foreign airlines -KLM Swiss Iberia. Most irish travellers look at Ryanair and Aer Lingus and stop there.
