Ryanair return, 2 on booking, one no longer travelling

I have first leg of a return flight with Ryanair departing early in the morning, looks like my colleague (who is on the same booking) won't be travelling - will this be a problem for me, particularly for the return flight?

I think I read somewhere that if someone bought a return flight then didn't use one leg, that the second would automatically be cancelled. Would this apply to me as we are on the same booking?

The itinery makes no reference and I didn't make the booking so changing it may be problematic...

The fact that one passenger does not travel makes no difference whatsoever.

This happened me last week and there is no problem.
There were 2 of us on the booking but I was the only one travelling.
If you are going with hand luggage only, each person on the booking can also check-in individually online for both legs of the booking which is fantastic. We were only away for a weekend so there might be a minimum time issue for the return flight - not sure.

I assume the other person will not be using the return flight ?

Thanks - the flight ended up being cancelled anyway.

Was this due to the Stansted anti global warming protest? Are you going to be refunded?
