Got an email about this...

Travel Insurance is included - maybe Aer Lingus will respond....

AL offers travel insurance and other benefits, fasttrack, lounge access etc, via their AerClub credit card (€6.50 pm) so much of a muchness I'd imagine.

Not tempted by the Ryanair insurance, as medical claims are not covered for persons over 70.
There are some complicated rules about selecting "free" seats with travel companion.
And a clause somewhere that says offers may be withdrawn before prime members actually get to book them.
Do we trust Ryanair.......

The main thing is special offers. But I don't decide where to go because I am getting a special offer from an airline.

If I want to go to London on 20th June , I will go on the 20th June. If I get an offer from Ryanair to fly to Malta cheaply on 15th June, I won't be availing of it.

Not sure about the seats either. You can get a fair few seats for €79.

If they offered something like free cancellation of flights or if you arrive early at the airport they would put you on an earlier flight at no cost, I would certainly pay €79 a year.

Their business fares a few years ago were amazing, in terms of getting on earlier flights, changing flights at late notice etc. I think that was around 2014
