Ryanair - carry on luggage

Hi All
I'm going to a wedding in London in May with my OH. Just going to check in 1 suitcase and then both of us will also bring hand luggage.
Would he be allowed to bring his suit in one of those suit carriers as carry on luggage? Do you think there would be an issue with the hanger being a 'weapon' of sorts?!

I'm not sure about the hanger, but you could use a plastic one? The only thing is that you all your hand buggage has to fit in one bag. Therefore any other hand luggage he has with him, you would have to fit in your bag (including you handbag, shopping bag etc.) They are very strict about the one item of hand bagagge per person rule.
