Ryanair: Carry on for outward journey but need to check luggage for return

Is this possible ? Can I register luggage before I do my return Online check in?

Just trying to figure out if it's cheaper to pay for check in both ways.

I know I can add on luggage before I do the online check in but question is do I have to do it both ways?

I looked at this before and if you do online checkin you have to do it both ways. What you can try and do is do the outward journey and then add in the luggage but I'm not positive you can do it. Ryanair are constantly changing the rules. You can also pay at the airport, the time I did it, it was cheaper to pay at the airport than for return bags online.

Update as promised. I added my bag before I did my online check in and it cost me €15.
So it is possible to just pay one way!

That's good to know! I've done it with Aer Lingus alright but I wasn't sure whether it would be possible with RyanAir.

At the airport to add a bag with A Lingus is 36 euro, online its 24 euro
