Does that mean checking on entering the plane? I flew with Aer Lingus to London last Friday and missed the flight because I forgot I needed my passport/photo ID. Got on the next flight and passport was checked three times - when checking in luggage, at security gate and before boarding. Check in time is now two and a half hours prior to departure.
