Rust on Stanley Oisin

Hi all,

I have a Stanley Oisin. Last night a piece fell off the back. It had been rusted through. I can't understand why this should have happened as we have a fire on every night. When it was cooled this morning I put my hand to the back and it felt very rusted. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Is there water getting into it from somewhere?

Not that I can see. There is no water anywhere near it.

Is it a back boiler, could be drip somewhere.

I know I was told years ago to always clean out the ash that falls underneath the ashpan in range as if left to built up could harbor moisture.

How old is it....warranty....you could contact stanley and see what they say....

I have contacted Stanley and supplied photos. Now I am waiting to hear back from them.
